Prve informacije o BigTyp14 Pro CPU kuleru su se pojavile još pre mesec dana, ali sada je Thermaltake otkrio mnogo više detalja o dolazećem uređaju. Ovaj kuler ima dimenzije od 156 x 155 x 128 milimetara i težak je 800 grama. Posedovaće šest heatpipe-ova, kao i 140-milimetarski ventilator, opremljen plavim LED-om. Toshiba je predstavila novu seriju notebook računara sa podrškom za WiMAX. Radi se o Satellite U405-ST550W modelima, koji su opremljeni 13.3-inčnim LCD ekranima sa podrškom za TruBrite tehnologiju. Novi računari se isporučuju sa preinstaliranim Windows Vista Home Premium operativnim sistemom, web kamerom koja ima mogućnost rapoznavanja lica i WiMAX/Wi-Fi module, odnosno Intelove “Echo Peak” čipove. Opera je već dugo godina prisutna na tržištu internet pretraživača, a neke od inovacija koje danas uzimamo zdravo za gotovo je upravo ta kompanija izmislila (tabovi, na primer). Ogromna konkurencija, pojačana skorašnjim dolaskom kompanije Google na tržište internet pretraživača nije pokolebala razvojni tim, već su nastavljeni radovi na novim verzijama. Predstavljena je Opera 9.6, nova verzija pretraživača koja donosi brojna unapređenja. Pored unapređivanja brzine renderovanja stranica, tu je i nova mogućnost u vidu Opera Link-a. Radi se o sinhronizacionom servisu koji objedinjuje stavke kao što su notes, bookmarks, Speed Dial i personal bar. Opera je mnogo više od prostog pretraživača, pošto se u njoj isporučuju mail klijent, BitTorrent klijent, IRC klijent i feed reader.

Kontron će, po svemu sudeći, kupiti Intelovo Communication Rackmount Server odeljenje. Kompanija Kontron se bavi „embedded“ modularnim i otvorenim rešenjima. U toj firmi očekuju da bi kupovinom odeljenja kompanije Intel mogli da zarade novih 40 miliona dolara tokom sledeće godine. Kontron je nemačka kompanija i sarađuje sa telekomunikacionim kompanija prve i druge klase, kao i provajderima mrežnih rešenja. Intel je najavio da ima „ozbiljna pitanja“ u vezi sa deljenjem AMD-a na dve kompanije. Intel je zainteresovan šta će se desiti sa x86 patentima i raznim sporazumima koje je sklopio sa kompanijom AMD, pošto će dobar deo nadležnosti preći na novoosnovanu firmu, Foundry Company. Intel i AMD imaju sporazum o kroslicenciranju, po kome AMD plaća Intelu određenu sumu novca za korišćenje patenata koji su u njegovom vlasništvu. Portparol Intela Čak Maloj je, reagujući na razdvajanje AMD-a na dve kompanije, rekao da Intel ima ozbiljna pitanja oko licenci, pošto želi da zaštiti svoje intelektualno vlasništvo. Kao jedna od mera koje se pominju, premda nije potvrđeno da će biti sprovedene, jeste i objavljivanje detalja sporazuma između AMD-a i Intela, koji se trenutno tretira kao tajni dokument.
